The popularity of the Two Castles Run has resulted in the online application system, which was capped at 4,000 entries, being closed in a shorter timespan each year and was projected to fill in less than fifteen minutes for the 2017 event.
Many people have been unable to enter previous races due to holidays, work, family commitments or other reasons. The decision has thus been made to move to a ballot and registration will be open from midday on 1st February 2017 and will close at 23.59 on Tuesday 14th February 2017.
Extending the entry window means that everyone who would like to enter has a fair chance to obtain a place.
Applicants must enter all their details on registration including card details however NO PAYMENT will be taken until an applicant’s place has been confirmed by email on 1st March 2017
Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email that they have been placed on the waitlist.
As in previous years cancellations and substitutions will be allowed up to the day of the race but no refunds will be made for cancellations.
We’ve been working on a better, fairer, and more robust solution for everyone since the run last year. We feel that this is really our only option in the circumstances and wish you luck with your entry.
The run is organised by volunteers solely to raise funds for charitable purposes.
